Lightly roasting coffee beans

The roasting process can be adjusted to produce different levels of roast, from light to dark. Lighter roasts are roasted for a shorter time and have a lighter color (light brown color) and more acidic flavor profile, so light roasts can bring out the unique flavors, floral or fruity notes, and nuances specific to the coffee's origin, highlighting the terroir of the beans.

Lightly roasted coffee beans tend to preserve more of their aromatic compounds (and also more caffeine), resulting in a more pronounced and complex aroma. The fragrant notes can range from floral and fruity to herbal and tea-like, creating an enticing and aromatic coffee experience.
