On the last Saturday (13th August, 2023), Dunkin’, one of the largest coffee and donut stores in the US, opened the 800th store in Philippine, which is located in Laoag City. It proves the coffee business is continually extending into different countries and regions, and this situation can also happen on the land of coffee producer.
Michael Haley, President and Managing Director of International at Inspire Brands, said that “We are thrilled to reach this exciting milestone in the Philippines and continue our growth throughout the country with strong licensees like Golden Donuts, Inc”
Donut’ and Starbucks together got 22% market share of the Filipino branded coffee shop market in 2020, according to World Coffee Portal research in 2020, and Donut’ opened 406 stores in Philippines at that time, so Donut’ is actually doubled the number of stores in the last 3 years, even under the impact of Covid-19.
We wish to see the expansion of coffee, so more people can enjoy coffee and also develop different coffee culture and products.
