Robusta coffee trees are usually below 15 feet tall with more robust branching structure and larger, rounder leaves. Robusta coffee tree is grown at low altitudes, below 800 meters, with warmer temperatures and less rainfall.
Due to the low altitudes compared with Arabica, Robusta coffee beans are naturally grown with stronger, harsher flavor profile with notes of bitterness, earthiness, and nuttiness.
